' KLEINFELDER <br /> 5 SITE HISTORY <br /> Kleinfelder researches several sources for historical land use information The purpose of the <br /> research is to provide general land use history for the last 50 years using aerial photographs, <br /> interviews, Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps, Polk City Directories/Haines Criss-Cross Directories, <br /> ' and a 50-year chain-of-title The following sections describe the information revealed by the <br /> sources <br />' <br /> 5.1 AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY REVIEW <br /> ' Historical aerial photographs were reviewed to evaluate past land use at the site and in the <br /> surrounding area Aerial photographs covering the past 60 years were available during the <br /> timeframe of this report The 1937, 1952, 1963, 1975 and 1983 aerial photographs were <br /> reviewed at the San Joaquin County Surveyors Office in Stockton, California A summary of our <br /> aerial photograph review is presented as follows <br /> Date: August 14, 1937 <br /> Photograph ID. ABD-38-26 <br /> Scale. 1 inch =660 feet <br /> Type: Monoscopic, Black and White <br /> Source: San Joaquin County Surveyor <br /> The subject site in the 1937 aerial photograph is occupied with a freight shed adjacent to a <br /> J <br /> covered boat berth attached to the south side of the seawall The use of this shed could not be <br /> ' determined from the aerial photograph <br /> There are several large and small structures (warehouses and adjacent building) adjacent to the <br /> ' north of the site on Weber Point The Stockton Deep Water channel is adjacent to the south and <br /> appears to extend farther to the east from the present channel alignment <br /> Date: August 14, 1952 <br /> Photograph ID:ABD-4K-115 <br /> Scale: 1 inch =660 feet <br /> Type Monoscopic, Black and White <br /> Source-San Joaquin County Surveyor <br /> In the 1952 aerial photograph, the subject site was generally unchanged from the 1937 aerial <br /> photograph except for an additional covered boat berth extending the full length of the site <br /> Properties adjacent to the north, east, west and south are essentially unchanged from the 1937 <br /> aerial photograph <br /> 20-1129-30/2017R241 Page 10 of 16 <br /> ©1997 Kleinfelder, Inc July 14, 1997 <br />
