M KLEINFELDER <br /> APPENDIX B <br /> GOVERNMENT AGENCY LIST REVIEW SUMMARY <br /> Kleinfelder reviewed federal, state, and local agency lists during the course of this assessment for <br /> ' evidence concerning releases or disposal of hazardous substances or petroleum products from <br /> adjacent and nearby properties The results of the regulatory agency list review is presented in <br /> Chapter 4 of this report The following discussion provides a description of the Iists reviewed for <br /> this assessment <br /> Federal Agencies <br /> The following Federal agency lists were reviewed for this assessment <br /> • Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Information System <br /> (CERCLIS) database <br /> The CERCLIS lists potentially hazardous sites that require further investigation and investigated <br /> sites where no further assessment or iemcdial action is planned under the Federal Superf ind <br /> Program The CERCLIS is reviewed for sites within one-half mile of the site <br /> ' • National PriorityList <br /> (NPL) <br /> rThe NPL is derived from the CERCLIS list and includes sites which the EPA considers as threats <br /> to public health and the environment and for which Superfund monies have been allocated The <br /> NPL is reviewed for facilities within one mile of the site <br /> • Resource Conservation and Recovery Act(RCRA) List <br /> The RCRA list identifies generators, transporters, and disposers of hazardous waste, or sites that <br /> operate treatment, storage or disposal (TSD) facilities The RCRIS TSD list is reviewed for sites <br /> within a mile of the subject property The RCRA generators list is reviewed for facilities located <br /> on or adjacent to the site <br /> • Emergency Response Notification System (ERNS) list <br /> The ERNS list contains information on the sudden and/or accidental release of hazardous <br /> ' substances, including petroleum into the environment The ERNS reporting system contains <br /> preliminary information on specific releases that occurred prior to the report date The ERNS <br /> report was reviewed for facilities on-site only <br /> 20-1 129-30/20278241 Page I of 3 <br /> 01997 Kleinfeldur Inc, July 14, 1997 <br />
