' KLEINFELDER <br /> ' Table 2 summarizes information obtained from the review of area maps <br /> Table 2 <br /> ' Physical Setting <br /> U.S.G S Topographic Stockton West, California 75 minute quadrangle, dated <br /> Quadrangle Map 1968, photorevised 1976 <br /> U.S G.S Map The site is vacant A boat dock is adjacent to the south side <br /> Description of the site <br /> MUNGER MAP, 1994- Page W-18, no oil and gas wells or plugged and abandoned <br /> ' Oil And Gas Fields dry holes noted on site <br /> ' 3.2 GEOLOGY AND HYDROGCOLOGY <br /> t The site lies within the Great Valley Geomorphic Province of California The valley is about <br /> 400 miles long and averages about 50 miles wide, and comprises about 20,000 square miles The <br /> valley has been filled with a thick sequence of marine and non-marine sediments from the late <br /> MJurassic to Holocene The uppermost strata of the Great Valley represents, for the most part, the <br /> alluvial, flood, and delta plains of two major rivers (Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers) and <br /> ' their tributaries <br /> The valley deposits are derived from the Coast Ranges to the west and the Sierra Nevada to the <br /> east Granitic and metamorphic rocks outcrop along the eastern and southeastern flanks of the <br /> valley Marine sedimentary rocks outciop along most of the western, southwestern, southern, <br /> and southeastern flanks, and volcanic rocks and deposits outcrop along the northeastern flanks of <br /> ' the valley The valley geomorphology includes dissected uplands, low alluvial plains and fans, <br /> river flood plains and channels, and ovei flow lands and lake bottoms <br /> ' The site itself is located In the northern central portion of the Central Valley in an area <br /> characterized by alluvial and deltaic fan deposits The majority of the native sediments include <br /> continental rocks and deposits of a heterogeneous mix of poorly sorted clay, silt, sand, and <br /> ' gravel Some beds of claystone, siltstone, sandstone, and conglomerate can also be present <br /> ' <br /> 20-1129-30/2017R241 Page 4 of 16 <br /> 0 1997 Kleinfelder Inc.
