KLEI NFELDER
Review of the San Joaquin County Flood Control, District and Water Conservation map of Lines
' of Equal Elevation of groundwater, dated Spring 1994, indicates that the general direction of
groundwater flow in the area of the site is to the east According to the map, the groundwater
elevation is approximately -40 to -50 feet below mean sea level Comparison of that published
' groundwater elevation with the surface elevation of approximately 12 to 15 feet yields a depth to
groundwater of 52 to 55 feet below grade Depth to groundwater is expected to be "mounded"
' beneath the Stockton Channel Therefore, depth to groundwater will be much less in fact,
during a Phase lI Enviionmental Site Assessment (detailed in a separate report) depth to
groundwater in borings HP-1, HP-2, and HP-3 (see Plate 2) was approximately 18 to 19 feet
' below grade Groundwater flow, depth and direction may be influenced by local pumping,
rainfall, tidal fluctuation, or irrigation patterns Evaluation of such factor is beyond the scope of
this assessment
i
I
1
11-1111-101101711241 Page 5 of 16
' © 1997 Kleinfekkr Inc.
