1 <br /> Elks Lodge Property <br /> ' 317 South Center Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Site Characterization <br /> Report of Findings <br /> 1.0 Project Identification <br /> ' WHF, Inc., Environmental and Engineering Group was retained by First Commercial <br /> Real Estate for the purpose of investigating the potential lead impacts to the surface soil <br /> layer due to past activities performed on the subject site located at 317 South Center <br /> Street, Stockton, California. <br /> 2.0 Site Location <br /> ' The Elks Lodge Property is located in Stockton, California (Figure 1). The Assessor's <br /> Parcel Number (APN) is 137-31-10 in San Joaquin County. The site is located in the <br /> Northwest '/4 of Section 21, Township 1 North, Range 6 East. The subject parcel has a <br /> ' physical address known as 317 South Center Street, Stockton, California(Figure 2). <br /> ' The subject property has been used for residential, commercial, retail and industrial <br /> purposes. It has been previously used as an auto parts wrecking yard and dry cleaning <br /> facility. The site is currently owned by the Elks Lodge. <br /> ' Condor Earth Technologies of Turlock, California had conducted a Phase I <br /> Environmental Site Assessment Report, dated August 15, 2000. Based on the Phase I <br /> ' Historical Environmental Audit, an exploratory boring is warranted. <br /> ' 3.0 Scope of Work <br /> ' On July 6, 2001 WHF, Inc. (VHF) completed ten (10) shallow vertical soil borings using <br /> a hand auger. The borings are identified as HB-1 through HB-10. The locations of each <br /> boring is shown in Figure 3. The data collected was utilized to determine if lead <br /> ' contamination exists in the shallow subsurface underlying the property and to <br /> characterize the nature and extent of the contamination. <br /> t <br />
