Schedule Changes: A draft schedule for the design and construction of the soil remedial measure was submitted to DTSC on June 9, 1998. This schedule was also presented during an October 8, 1998 meeting with DTSC on the remedial design. The draft schedule calls for the draft RDIP to be submitted to DTSC at the end of October, 1998, and for approval of the final RDIP by the end of December, 1998. Construction of the soil remedial measure is expected to begin in April, 1999. IV. Activities Planned for Next Quarter: On October 8, 1998, PG&E met with DTSC to go over the draft RDIP. At this meeting, the contents of the RDIP,the draft soil remedial design drawings, the proposed soil management plan,the proposed soil verification sampling plan,the proposed groundwater monitoring program and the draft schedule were discussed. In addition PG&E and DTSC discussed whether the RAP needs to be amended because of recent regulatory changes which affect management of tar pit residue and discussed what concentration of polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons is acceptable in soils to be used as backfill. V. Results of Analyses. Tests or Other Data: Groundwater sampling was conducted in June, 1998 and in September, 1998. The analytical results for the June, 1998 sampling were submitted to DTSC and the RWQCB on July 31, 1998 in the Quarterly Monitoring Report, PG&E Stockton Former MGP Site, Second Quarter, 1998. The results of the September, 1998 sampling will be submitted to DTSC and the RWQCB by the end of October, 1998.
