Electronic deliverable
format (EDF) files of the laboratory analytical results will be submitted to the State of
California GeoTracker database
2.3. SOIL BORING AND SOIL-VAPOR ANALYSIS
AGE proposes to advance a total of two (2) soil borings utilizing a 4-inch diameter hand
auger to install soil-vapor wells to collect soil-vapor samples at the site (Figure 2). A
description of proposed soil boring locations and depths are provided below:
• One (1) soil boring will be advanced to a total depth of 6.5 feet bsg adjacent to the
L-shaped building in the southwest corner or the site to evaluate the potential
threat for vapor intrusion to the site building and at the property; and
• One (1) soil boring will be advanced to a total depth of 6.5 feet bsg adjacent to the
'shop' building in the center or the site to evaluate the potential threat for vapor
intrusion to the site building and at the property.
The proposed soil-vapor well locations are illustrated in Figure 2.
Soil-vapor samples will be analyzed by a CDPH-certified laboratory for the following
constituents:
• TPH-g in accordance with EPA Method TO-15;
• BTEX and naphthalene in accordance with EPA Method TO-15;
• Fuel additives including MTBE, TBA, DIPE, ETBE, TAME EDB and 1,2-DCA in
accordance with EPA Method TO-15;
• Percent oxygen (fixed gas) in accordance with analytical method ASTM D 1946-
90; and
• Tracer compound isopropyl alcohol in accordance with EPA Method TO-15.
Laboratory reports for soil-vapor analyses (lowest possible detection limits), testing
methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reports, and sample
chain-of-custody documentation will be presented in a report with the findings and
recommendations.
