u 44
N
Additional Subsurface Investigation Work Plan
FERNANDO'S PLACE
1201 South Center Street, Stockton, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr. Roger Huckins Jr., property owner of 1201 South Center Street, Stockton,
California (site), Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this monitoring well
installation work plan. The site location is illustrated on Figure 1 . Structures, monitoring well and
boring locations on the site are illustrated on Figure 2 . Background information, a site model and
summaries of previous investigations are presented in the Appendix A.
The purpose ofthe investigation is to evaluate the extent of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted ground
water north and east the site, beyond the current monitoring well network. The data collected will
be utilized for the optimal placement of future ground water monitoring wells, specifically the
distance from the release point(s) on the site, the vertical placement of the ground water monitoring
wells and general spacing of future off-site wells. Upon completion of this work scope, AGE will
submit a Work Plan Addendum for the installation of additional monitoring wells.
This Work Plan provides the scope of work and procedures to be implemented to advance cone
penetrometer testing (CPT) borings and collect ground water samples. Proposed CPT boring
locations are presented in Figure 2 .
This work plan has been prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department (EHD) by letter dated 19 October 2006 and was prepared in accordance with the
Regional Water Quality Control Board' s Tri-Regional Board Staff Recommendations for
Preliminary Evaluation andlnvestigation of Underground TankSites guidelines for the investigation
of UST sites.
2.0. SCOPE OF WORK
AGE proposes to advance up to nine borings utilizing CPT technology; borings will be advanced
using a 25 -ton direct push rig. Three of the proposed CPT borings are "contingent" and based upon
results of the initial six CPT borings. The scope of work will include the following tasks :
• Permitting and pre-field work activities;
• CPT and ground water sample collection and analysis;
• Report preparation.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
