Center
St., Stockton
encroachment is a one time written extortion (oops)fee to gain access to their right of way.
Revocables are designed to remain on file with a $$$bond (typically$1500.)to provide for repairs/removal of the
well head if for some reason you folks/the RP does not remove/repair the well head/box. It's happened before on
very old sites where the contractor took out the revocable and didn't remain with the RP til closure.
If you/the RP doesn't repair or remove the well to their satisfaction, the City cashes the bond and does the work to
return their property to 'before' status...I'm under the impression the bond is returnable if the City'sees no need to
f
cash it.
E when it comes time to take the well out, ANOTHER City encroachment permit will be needed, as well.as another
EHD permit...ours is only$60 for you D sites.
you should know, the City requires FULL CONCRETE SIDEWALK PANEL replacement for wells IN City
sidewalks after the well comes out. You should.plan on the $$$to have the concrete sidewalk COMPLETELY
replaced from expansion joint to expansion joint-THis is sometimes 12-15 long and last I heard expensive. I think
they even designate which contractor can do the concrete work (Jerry Joy Construction)
For wells in the blacktop, it's my understanding a larger full depth asphalt patch is required also. Last one I saw
was -3'X 3' by 8 deep, and has to be a rolled hot mix.
you should check with Reid Campbell (209)937-8349 to verify the destruction/patch requirements and if you must
use THEIR contractor
something here rings of"don't fight City hall".....
From: Anderson, Paul [mailto:PAnderson@pscnow.com]
Sent: Monday, February 25, 2008 8:30 AM
To: Mike Infurna [EH]
Subject: RE: GeoTracker Upload Notification (RI WP Addendum) - Case # 2371, Sara Lee 1717 S. Revocable permit.
The Encroachment is $331 and the Revocable is $1,596.
Can you explain the difference between the two and why.the Revocable is needed this
time?
I Thank you..
Paul Anderson
2/26/2008
