Groundwater elevations decreased approximately 0 77 feet from the previous
' event performed in August 2004 The elevations ranged from—20 20' to--
21 00' MSL The groundwater flow direction is easterly at a gradient of
approximately 5 04 x 10-3 feet per linear foot
1
23 BTEX and TPH-G Analytical Results
' Petroleum hydrocarbons of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes, and
TPH-G were detected in the groundwater sample from well MW-2 However,
the BTEX and TPH-G concentrations increased from the previous event, due
to temporarily disengaging the sparging system There were no detectable
BTEX or TPH-G concentrations measured in the samples collected from wells
MW-1, MW-3, and MW-4
The current BTEX concentrations were evaluated against the California
Drinking Water Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCL)s The MCLs in
' groundwater are benzene (1 µg/L), toluene (150 µg/L), ethylbenzene (700
µg/L), and xylenes (1,750 µg/L) Based on the current groundwater
monitoring data, the MCLS for benzene, toluene, and xylenes have been
' exceeded in well MW-2
2.4 Oxygenates Analytical Results
Unlike the previous event, there were no oxygenate analytes with detectable
' concentrations in well MW-2 The analyte TBA, which was previously
detected in well MW-2, was reported as non-detect at X250 ug/L However,
the detection limits were elevated for well MW-2 during this event due to
matrix interferences There were no detectable oxygenates measured in the
remaining wells
10
December 2004
Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report
Earthgrains Baking Companies,Inc
(Former Kilpatrick s Bakeries Inc)
1717 South Center Street
Stockton,Callfomia
Prepared for SARA LEE BAKERY GROUP Prepared by Philip Services Corp
H%EN V\624001121121392EGtiProiects\Stockton Center StUnvesugatne and Quarterly ReportsVQuarterly Report 12_2004 doe January 18,2005
