' Quarterly Report - Third Quarter 2002
• FERNANDO'S PLACE
1201 South Center Street, Stockton, California
' 1.0. INTRODUCTION
' At the request of Mr Roger Huckms,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this
quarterly report for the property located at 1201 South Center Street, Stockton, California(the site)
The scope of work included conducting a ground water monitoring event for the four on-site
' montonng wells and preparation of this report The location of the site and the immediately
surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1, structures and monitoring well locations on the site are
illustrated on Figure 2 Background information and site history Is summarized in the AGE-prepared
' Additional Subsurface Investigation Work Plan, dated 19 April 2001 and Cone Penetrometer Testing
Site Investigation Report, dated 10 December 2001
' At the request of the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD), quarterly
ground water monitoring events at the site have been coordinated to occur concurrently with ground
water monitoring activities at the adjacent Arc Pump and Welding at 1211 Turnpike Road
1
2.0. PROCEDURES
On 12 August 2002, ground water monitoring was performed site on off-site wells MW-2A, MW-
2B, MW-3A and MW-3B, a locked gate prevented access to on-site well MW-1 Field procedures
' were performed in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board
(CVRWQCB)and EHD guidelines for subsurface investigations of underground storage tank(UST)
' sites and sampling ground water monitoring wells, respectively
' 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
A Solinst water level meter was utilized to measure depth to ground water from the top of each well
I casing to the nearest 0 01-foot The ground water elevation was calculated by subtracting the
measured depth to ground water from the surveyed casing elevation (Table 1)
' After the depth-to-ground water measurements were collected,a two-stage pump was used to purge
the deep monitoring wells MW-2A and MW-3A of standing water, new disposable plastic bailers
were used to purge shallow monitoring wells MW-2B and MW-3B Between 40 and 45 gallons and
' 7 and 7 5 gallons of water were removed from the deep wells and the shallow wells, respectively(a
minimum of 3 casing-water volumes) Ground water temperature, pH and conductivity were
measured at regular intervals during purging using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data
' from the August 2002 monitoring events are Included In Appendix A Purged water was stored on-
site in labeled, 55-gallon DOT-approved drums
' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
1 -
