' I <br /> 5.0 FINDINGS <br /> 5.1 1034 Central Avenue (Subject Property) <br /> 5.1.1 Site &MCY <br /> Observations made during the October 24, 1994 site survey are summarized below: <br /> • The northern portion of the subject property is occupied by a parking lot, and the <br /> southern portion is occupied by a commercial building (former Well Fargo Bank), <br /> • No Underground Storage Tanks(USTs) were identified on the subject property, <br /> • Storage drums(55-gallon)containing hazardous/non-hazardous waste were not <br /> identified on the subject property, <br /> • Ponds,pits, solid wastes,or stressed vegetation were not identified on the subject <br /> Property, <br /> • Groundwater monitoring wells were not identified on the subject property, <br /> • An asbestos survey was not included in the proposal and therefore was not conducted, <br /> • Materials which could potentially contain Polychlorinated Biphenyl's(PCBs) were not <br /> identified on the subject property,and <br /> • Nuisance odors or organic vapors were not identified on the subject property or <br /> adjoining properties. <br /> 5.1.2 Liteo=anaecordsSe <br /> Site History <br /> The site history was evaluated from Unocal Corporate environmental,maintenance,real <br /> estate,marketing and historical map files located in Brea,California.Due to the time period <br /> the service station operated no environmental,maintenance,or marketing files were <br /> available for review.The service station operated in the northern portion of the subject <br /> property from November 5, 1921 to September 30, 1965. Since 1970,the northern portion <br /> of the property has been used as a parking lot.Documents collected during the file research <br /> are presented in Appendix A. <br /> 3 <br />
