In 1988, 1-1,000 gallon UST was <br /> removed from the site at 780 East 6th Street. According to the Underground Storage Tank <br /> Unauthorized Release(Leak) Contamination Site Report,further work will be required to <br /> determine the extent of contamination. Several surface soil samples have been collected, <br /> several soil borings, and groundwater monitoring wells have been installed to determine the <br /> extent of contamination.Two workplan have been submitted however,several items in the <br /> workplans have not been resolved.Refer to Appendix C for information on both facilities. <br /> Ag C e <br /> This site is located approximately 0.4 mile northeast from the subject property near the end <br /> of East 10th Street. On October 29, 1988 3-1,000 gallon USTs were removed from the <br /> site.Two of the USTs stored weed oil and one UST stored gasoline. In a letter dated April <br /> 17, 1992 from the SJCPHS requested further investigation to be conducted to determine <br /> the extent of soil and/or groundwater contamination at the site. Soil samples collected from <br /> the tank excavation are presented in Appendix C. However,no reports were found in the <br /> RWQCB or the SJCPHS files. <br /> California EnyimMn§nW2MMc ' y .Facility In entory Da base <br /> Within a 1/2-mile radius of the subject property, several Sites were listed in the Facility <br /> Inventory Database.This database combmes information from several other regulatory <br /> databases. Refer to Table 1 for sites located within a 1/21m1 a radius of the subject <br /> property. <br /> 6.0 CONCLUSIONS <br /> The subject property was operated by Unocal from November 5, 1921 to September 30, <br /> 1965.Based on historical research conducted for proper�ies located in the immediate <br /> vicinity of the subject property, several sites were ideated that used or stored hazardous <br /> materials. Several service stations and auto garages were identified in the 1/2-mile radius <br /> from the subject property.Two service stations were identified on the northwest and <br /> northeast comer of East 11th Street and Central Avenue.Currently,these sites are occupied <br /> by commercial buildings,and were not identified on the RWQCB Fuel Leak List. <br /> p perry <br /> Additional service stations were located one block east and west from the subject ro <br /> on 11th Street, and are listed on the RWQCB Fuel Leak List. <br /> Based on information reviewed at the RWQCB and SJCPHS,twelve sites have been <br /> identified as having impacted soil and/or groundwater.However,no sites were identified in <br /> the immediate upgradient direction from the subject property. <br /> 13 <br />
