In telephone conversations concerning the site's status,
the RP was informed that PHS-EHD refers sites with documented groundwater contamination
from a non-underground storage tank source to the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board (CVRWQCB).
The RP has expressed interest in obtaining a "No Further Action" (NFA) letter. PHS-EHD staff
has advised the RP that further investigation to define the lateral and vertical extent of the
contamination is required prior to evaluating a site for remediation or NFA. PHS-EHD has also
advised the RP after a telephone conversation with Kit Custis of your staff, that if the CVRWQCB
cannot assist him at this time, PHS-EHD may enter into a written agreement for the clean up of
the site under provisions of SB 1248.
Please contact Michael Infurna at (209) 468-3454 if you have any questions concerning this site's
previous field activities.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Michael J.
