The 422 -acre facility is strategically located to help improve service reliability on BNSF's extensive intermodal network, particularly between Northern California and the Midwest. 238 acres are under development, with 128 acres for future expansion and 56 acres of wetlands that will be donated to the State of California. More than 30 intermodal hub facilities are strategically located on the BNSF Railway network to effectively serve most of North America's largest markets. These facilities are among the largest, most modern intermodal hubs in the industry — facilities that are designed to move trailer or container loads of freight shipments to more markets with greater speed and efficiency.
