i <br />• <br />Intermodal transportation capacity isn't the only area where BNSF <br />has grown. After conducting more than 60 environmental studies, <br />the company has invested more than $2 million to operate a 56 -acre <br />wetland area and wildlife preserve on the Stockton site. Also, more <br />than 15 percent of the total project cost, or more than $12 million, <br />has been applied to the roadway improvements in San Joaquin <br />County and wildlife preservation. BNSF provided funding to build <br />overpasses at Mariposa and Jack Tone Roads, eliminating two at <br />grade crossings.
