t <br /> ATC SITE SAFETY PLAN <br /> FACILITY BACKGROUND <br /> An inactive sand-water separator installed prior to 1950 and used by a laundry facility <br /> onsite until approximately 1963. The precise nature of the laundry business is unknown, <br /> and it is unknown what materials the separator may have handled. The impact of the <br /> sand-water separator on the soil in its vicinity is unknown: <br /> WORK PLAN <br /> Task One: <br /> Install one soil boring to approximately two feet below the bottom of the deepest sump <br /> tank comprising the separator, approximately 7 feet bgs. At least one soil sample will be <br /> collected from the boring. Soil samples will be analyzed for volatile organic compounds <br /> including fuel additives and dry cleaning solvents by EPA Method 8260. <br /> PAGE 4 <br />
