STI External Tank Inspection _ <br /> UPRR French Camp <br /> Tank No.TNKD-0829 <br /> Antea Group Project No. UP03061T antea'g rou p <br /> 2.0 Summary <br /> 2.1 INSPECTION OVERVIEW <br /> Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR)contracted with Antea Group to provide an external STI inspection for Tank TNKD- <br /> 0829 located at French Camp, CA Lathrop Intermodal Yard (facility). Inspection scope included shell thickness <br /> testing. Accoarding to UPRR records the tank was put into service in 1994. UPRR has been conducting periodic <br /> visual tank inspections on a quarterly basis. Photographs of the tank condition,appurtenances and thickness test <br /> locations are included as Appendix A. <br /> 2.2 SCOPE <br /> Antea Group performed an External Formal Inspection on TNKD-0829.Visual (VT)inspection and Ultrasonic <br /> Testing(UT) inspection were performed by authorized Antea Group inspector certified in STI SP-001 tank <br /> standards and trained in UT thickness testing.The authorized inspector performed the tank inspection in <br /> compliance with industry standards such as STI SP001.The tank was categorized and inspection intervals <br /> determined in accordance with (STI SP001,6th Edition,Tables A2.2 and 5.5). <br /> 2.3 FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> FOUNDATION <br /> The concrete foundation was inspected,and no relevant problems were observed. Tank anchors were bolted <br /> down. Minor rust staining was identified on one of the tank anchors at the northwest corner of the tank, <br /> however metal corrosion was minimal. <br /> SHELL <br /> The shell was inspected, and no relevant problems were observed. <br /> ROOF <br /> The roof was inspected, and no relevant problems were observed. <br /> BOTTOM <br /> The bottom was not inspected,since it was in direct contact with the concrete foundation and internal access <br /> was not part of the inspection scope. <br /> VENTING <br /> The primary and emergency vents were inspected,and no relevant problems were identified with vent <br /> operation. <br /> XINOGEN= <br /> 6 us-anteagroup.com <br />
