<br /> INTRODUCTION
<br /> This report has been prepared for Texaco Refining and
<br /> Marketing Inc. (Texacc) , in response to a request from the San
<br /> Joaquin Local Health District (SJLHD) . Texaco, upon removal of
<br /> two product dispensers at 440 Charter Way, Stockton, California
<br /> in preparation for new construction, noted that the soil had been
<br /> impacted by gasoline hydrocarbons in the shallow subsurface.
<br /> Texaco has initiated a subsurface environmental investigation to
<br /> assess the impact of hydrocarbons beneath the site.
<br /> PURPOSE
<br /> Texaco wishes to take the steps discussed herein in order to
<br /> investigate and assess the siteation as required by the SJLHD.
<br /> All work will comply with the Occupational Safety and Health
<br /> Administration (OSHA) Standard "Hazardous Waste Operations and
<br /> Emergency Response", (29 CFR 1910.120), and various state and
<br /> (C(0P),,7
