C A M B R I A R IE C E W F F3 <br /> 0 C T 2 8 2002 October 25,2002 <br /> Ms Lon Duncan ()NMEN T HEALTH <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health De%%VSERVICES <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Re Site Investigation,Report/Groundwater Monitoring Report— <br /> Third Quarter 2002 <br /> United Gas Service Station/Former Texaco Service Station <br /> 440 West Charter Way <br /> Stockton, California <br /> SAP Code 121258 <br /> Incident No 88870583 <br /> SJCPHS Site Code 1055 <br /> Dear Ms Duncan <br /> Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc (Cambria) prepared this report on behalf of EquiIon <br /> Enterprises LLC dba Shell Oil Products US (Shell) to document the recent site investigation <br /> activities at the above referenced site The purpose of the investigation was to install monitoring <br /> . wells with deep screened intervals at the subject site Cambria followed the scope of work <br /> presented in our April 24, 2002 Site Investigation Work Plan which was approve by San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department (EHD) in their June 24, 2002 correspondence The <br /> work was performed to comply with EHD, and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board (RWQCB)guidelines <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> Site Description: The site is currently a United Gas gasoline station located on the southeast <br /> corner of West Charter Way and Lincoln Street in a mixed commercial and residential area of <br /> Stockton, California (Figure 1) The land surface in the vicinity of the subject site slopes gently <br /> towards the San Joaquin River, which is approximately 15 miles south of the site Texaco began <br /> retailing gasoline at the site in the 1960s In 1998 Texaco transferred service station operations <br /> Oakland CA to Equilon Enterprises LLC, who subsequently closed the site in December 1998 The layout of <br /> San Ramon, CA the former Texaco service station consisted of a service station building, a car wash, four fuel <br /> Sonoma, CA dispenser islands, and four underground storage tanks (USTs) United Gas placed their USTs in <br /> Cambria the same location as the former Texaco USTs The site layout is shown on Figure 2 <br /> Environmental <br /> Technology,Inc <br /> .
