CAMBRIA <br /> INVESTIGATION RESULTS <br /> Personnel Present: Geologist Aubrey Cool, Geno Mamnum, and Scott Lewis were <br /> present on site on different days to direct the drilling activities <br /> under the supervision of California Registered Geologist Joe <br /> Neely <br /> Permit. Drilling permits were obtained from EHD (Permit numbers <br /> 30824 and 30841) Copies of the permits are included as <br /> Appendix A <br /> Drilling Company: Boart Longyear of Peoria,Arizona(C57 License No 694686) <br /> Drilling Dates: August 19 through 28, 2002 <br /> Drilling Method Roto-sonic vibration(RSV)drilling equipment <br /> Sampling Methods. Soil types were continuously logged while drilling the well <br /> borings The soil types encountered are described on the boring <br /> logs presented in Appendix B Soil samples from the borings <br /> were collected at varying intervals for headspace analysis <br /> Number of Borings: Four well borings were drilled during this investigation The <br /> well boring specifications are described in Table 1 and locations <br /> are shown on Figure 2 All four well bonngs were converted to <br /> groundwater monitoring wells Two of the borings contain <br /> specialized well casing that allows two different screened <br /> intervals to be constructed in one well casing (further discussion <br /> below) <br /> Boring Depths: The MW-11-82/MW-11-122 well boring was drilled to 122 fbg <br /> The MW-18-80/MW-18-120 well boring was drilled to 120 fbg <br /> Well boring MW-19-81 was drilled to 81 fbg Well boring <br /> MW-19-120 was drilled to 120 fbg <br /> Groundwater Depths: During drilling activities groundwater was first encountered in <br /> . the well borings at depths of approximately 27 to 28 fbg <br /> 1399 2 <br />
