Box 388 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201-0388 <br /> Re: Chevron Station#9-2033, 508 West Charter Way, Stockton, CA <br /> Attached Underground Storage Tank Unauthorized Release Site Report(9/10/96) <br /> Dear Mr. Knoll: <br /> The following and attached documentation are being submitted to fulfill release reporting requirements in <br /> accordance with California Code of Regulations Title 23,Division 3, Chapter 16, Article 5, Section 2652 <br /> and with verbal commitments made by Chevron during underground storage tank(UST)removal <br /> • activities on September 9, 1996. <br /> The information provided below corresponds to each of the designated subsections within Section 2652: <br /> 2652 (b) Indications of an unauthorized release were witnessed during UST removal activities on <br /> September 9, 1996 by a representative from San Joaquin County Public Health Services(Eric <br /> Trevena)and by a representative from Chevron Products Company(Brett Hunter). Soil <br /> samples were collected at this time to confirm the occurrence of a release and were submitted to a <br /> state certified laboratory for analysis. Soil analytical results to confirm the occurrence of a <br /> release will be available on September 11, 1996. Complete copies of these analytical results will be <br /> transmitted to San Joaquin County Public Health Services as soon as they become available. <br /> Investigation of the release began with field inspections during UST removal activities on <br /> September 9, 1996. Immediate measures to stop the release were taken by removing all UST's <br /> and associated piping. No emergency conditions were present. <br /> 2652(c) On September 10, 1996,an Underground Storage Tank Unauthorized Release(Leak) <br /> Contamination Site Report(attached)was submitted to San Joaquin County Public Health Services. <br /> In addition to the information provided on that report, the following are presented to satisfy all <br /> requirements of this subsection: <br /> (1) see attached unauthorized release report <br /> (2) see attached unauthorized release report. <br /> (3) see attached unauthorized release report <br /> 2652(c) <br /> • (4) see attached unauthorized release report <br /> (5) see attached unauthorized release report <br /> (6) see attached unauthorized release report.
