In
this work plan, Secor proposes the following to provide further assessment of surface and
subsurface conditions in the site vicinity:
• Advancement of twelve cone penetrometer test (CPT)borings and twinned direct-
push borings to assess soil lithology and stratigraphy and collect soil and
groundwater samples for chemical analysis.
• Installation of three groundwater monitoring wells screened across first-
encountered groundwater.
• Installation of one deep groundwater monitoring well.
• Completion of a sensitive receptor survey within a one-half mile radius of the site.
• Review of EHD's files for information pertaining to private wells and leaking
underground storage tank (LUST) sites within a one-half mile radius of the site.
EHD approves the advancement of the proposed twelve CPT and twinned direct-push
borings. Nine twin borings will be located on the Chevron property, two twin borings
will be located southwest of the Chevron site on the property of the City of Stockton
Maintenance Yard, and one twin boring will be located west of the site on the motel
property. However, EHD believes that the borings advanced at the Chevron site should
be advanced to at least 65 feet below ground surface (bgs) instead of the proposed
minimum depth of 50 feet bgs as a sand body has been locally encountered to that depth.
Analytical data from grab groundwater samples collected at approximately 81 to 86 feet
