The purpose of this <br />Work Plan is to describe activities to be conducted to provide further assessment of surface <br />and subsurface conditions in the site vicinity. Information gained from these additional <br />assessment activities will be presented as an addendum to the Site Conceptual Model <br />(SCM) submitted by SECOR on March 24, 2004. This Work Plan was prepared in <br />response to comments by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br />(EHD) during a meeting on March 27, 2005 between the EHD, Chevron, and SECOR. The <br />meeting was conducted at the request of the above-mentioned parties to discuss methods <br />of addressing data inconsistencies and omissions in the SCM. <br />SITE DESCRIPTION <br />The site is an operating Chevron service station located in a primarily commercial area at <br />the southwest corner of the intersection of West Charter Way and South Lincoln Street in <br />Stockton, California (Figure 1). The site currently contains three gasoline USTs that share <br />a common excavation near the northwest site boundary, four dispenser islands under a <br />common canopy, and a station building (Figure 2). <br />PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK <br />The scope of work proposed for this assessment includes: <br />• The completion of approximately twelve cone penetrometer tests (CPT) and twelve <br />direct -push borings. <br />N:\Fi les\Projects\Chevron\Beta it\#9-2033\REPO RTS \2005Add n'IAsses sm entW orkP la n. d oc <br />
