The purpose of this
Work Plan is to describe activities to be conducted to provide further assessment of surface
and subsurface conditions in the site vicinity. Information gained from these additional
assessment activities will be presented as an addendum to the Site Conceptual Model
(SCM) submitted by SECOR on March 24, 2004. This Work Plan was prepared in
response to comments by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
(EHD) during a meeting on March 27, 2005 between the EHD, Chevron, and SECOR. The
meeting was conducted at the request of the above-mentioned parties to discuss methods
of addressing data inconsistencies and omissions in the SCM.
SITE DESCRIPTION
The site is an operating Chevron service station located in a primarily commercial area at
the southwest corner of the intersection of West Charter Way and South Lincoln Street in
Stockton, California (Figure 1). The site currently contains three gasoline USTs that share
a common excavation near the northwest site boundary, four dispenser islands under a
common canopy, and a station building (Figure 2).
PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of work proposed for this assessment includes:
• The completion of approximately twelve cone penetrometer tests (CPT) and twelve
direct -push borings.
N:\Fi les\Projects\Chevron\Beta it\#9-2033\REPO RTS \2005Add n'IAsses sm entW orkP la n. d oc
