3.5 Other Laboratory Testing
Other testing will be as follows:
Groundwater samples from existing site monitoring wells will be tested for chemical
parameters critical to the success of ambient or stimulated biodegradation. These
parameters will include nitrate, chlorite, sulfate, ferrous and total iron, alkalinity, and
dissolved gasses using methods 300.0, SM 3500 Fed, 6010B, 310.1 and SW3810,
respectively. pH, ORP and conductivity will be measured at the time of sample
collection.
• Groundwater samples from existing site monitoring wells will be tested for dissolved
metals contents to evaluate whether mobilization of metals may become a critical
factor in selecting or designing a groundwater remediation strategy. The metals will
include arsenic (As), chromium (Cr) and selenium (Se) (Methods 6010B).
• Soil and water samples for total organic carbon (415.2 and Walkley-Black). These
data will be useful in evaluating the potential oxygen demand of subsurface soils as
well as the ambient carbon content of groundwaters.
UserName or Department-Z:LsacDM0051Pg188018800391A5ad.doc 3-4
