12 December 2014
AGE Project No. 12-2169
Page 4 of 7
A site plan illustrating the proposed locations of dedicated shallow and intermediate
injection wells is included in Figure 3. Procedures for the proposed well installation are
provided in detail below.
WELL INSTALLATION WORK PLAN
Based on Water Board requirements to perform the proposed ISCO pilot test, AGE has
prepared this work plan detailing the installation of two (2) shallow and two (2)
intermediate ISCO injection wells. Procedures for the installations are provided below.
SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of the work includes the drilling and installation of two (2) shallow and two (2)
intermediate injection wells for the performance of an ISCO pilot test. The scope of work
will include the following tasks:
• Permitting and pre -field work activities;
• Pilot drilling;
• Injection well installation and development;
• Well installation reporting;
PERMITTING AND PRE -FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES
Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department (EHD). In addition, an update to the health and safety
plan presently on -file will be prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety and
Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National Institute for
Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency, 1985). Prior to mobilization, each proposed
boring/well locations will be clearly marked and a utility clearance obtained through
Underground Service Alert.
DRILLING
AGE proposes to advance a total of four (4) pilot soil borings to depths of 40 feet below
surface grade (bsg; shallow injection wells) and 65 feet bsg (intermediate injection
wells). Soil borings will be advanced using a truck -or track -mounted drill rig equipped
with 8.25 -inch hollow -stem augers. Proposed well locations are illustrated on Figure 3.
Soil samples will not be collected during installation of the proposed wells.
Advanced GeoEnviron mental, Inc.
