Mr Don Rodgers Project 92097-070 21 <br /> July 11, 1997 <br /> Page 5 <br /> • EMCON will prepare quarterly reports presenting laboratory analysis results, field <br /> results of influent and effluent samples, destruction efficiency of the abatement <br /> device, radius of influence of the SVE system, evaluation of the decline of <br /> hydrocarbon concentrations from each vapor extraction well with time, and <br /> cumulative pounds and/or gallons of hydrocarbons removed The original report <br /> will be forwarded to property owner, Mr Rodgers, and copies of the report will <br /> be distributed to the appropriate regulatory agencies <br /> PROJECT SCHEDULE <br /> Following approval of this proposal, EMCON will prepare system designs and construction <br /> specifications and will obtain appropriate permits to construct This process may take up to <br /> 4 weeks to complete Once appropriate permits have been obtained, EMCON will provide <br /> construction management and oversee system installation (this process will take up to <br /> 1 week to complete) After the system has been installed, EMCON will conduct a system <br /> start-up and source test Based on the schedule stated above, EMCON anticipates the <br /> system will be up and operating in September 1997 <br /> COST ESTIMATE <br /> The estimated cost to perform the soil and groundwater investigation as outlined in <br /> Tasks 1 through 5 is $60,975 00 (see table) Tasks 1 through 5 are based on time and <br /> materials and within the UST Cleanup Fund Cost Guidelines Services and materials <br /> requested or required during the course of the work due to unforeseen or changed <br /> conditions, which are not part of the proposed scope of work, are not included in this <br /> estimate <br /> This proposal is valid for a period of ninety (90) days unless EMCON agrees to an <br /> extension Please indicate your approval of the proposal by signing below After you have <br /> signed one original, please return the entire document and retain the other original for your <br /> records Any modifications of the attached language must be accepted by both parties <br /> We appreciate the opportunity to submit this proposal We look forward to working with <br /> you to obtain site closure <br /> w <br /> SAON VRONP97\P9707021 AS-97\pra k <br />
