1 INTRODUCTION <br />' At the request of Don Rodgers, EMCON conducted a preliminary subsurface investigation <br /> at The Transnussion Shop, located at 515 West Charter Way, Stockton, California The <br /> purpose of this investigation was to evaluate whether site activities associated with the <br /> underground storage tanks (USTs) and fuel dispensers have impacted the soil and <br /> groundwater beneath the site <br /> The work performed included drilling six vertical soil borings, installing one groundwater <br /> monitoring well, developing and purging the monitonng well, installing one vapor <br /> extraction well and three dual completion vapor extraction wells, and collecting soil and <br /> groundwater samples for laboratory analyses of hydrocarbon constituents Data gathered <br /> dunng the investigation were used to evaluate the extent of residual hydrocarbons in soil, <br /> assess whether groundwater underlying the site has been affected by hydrocarbons, and <br /> evaluate the groundwater flow direction and gradient This report summanzes the tasks <br /> performed during this investigation, includes the laboratory results, and presents our <br /> interpretations and conclusions <br /> i <br /> SAC\N\P]2\2613\2613 1000 1 BB 95\116 2 Rev 0 215197 <br /> 22613 100 001 l_1 <br />
