t
CAMBRIA
REMEDIATION SUMMARY
A soil vapor extraction (SVE) system operated at this site from September 1992 to November
1996. During this time, the SVE system removed approximately 17,628 pounds of vapor phase
total purgeable hydrocarbons as gasoline from the subsurface.
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Hydrocarbon and methyl tertiary butyl ether concentrations are within the historical norm for this
site. Well MW-8 has been analyzed for 1,2-DCA after it was detected in the well during the
second quarter of 2000. None has been detected since, suggesting that the May 2000 result was a
false positive. Cambria proposes discontinuing 1,2-DCA analysis and would like to implement
this change, with SJCPHS/EHD's approval, beginning with the third quarter 2001 sampling
event.
As discussed during our June 19, 2001 meeting with SJCPHS/EHD staff, Cambria will prepare a
work plan proposing additional cone penetration test borings.
CLOSING
If you have any questions regarding the contents of this document, please call Aubrey Cool at
(707) 933-2368.
Sincerely,
Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc.
Co 6.-L
Lisa Summers
Staff Scientist
GFO
H W. FOCs
Joe W.
