Charter Way <br /> Stockton, CA <br /> E <br /> � WELL DRILLING <br /> is <br /> Driller: Osterberg & Stewart Lie. # 446670 <br /> wT <br /> Drilling & Logging Supervisor: Mr. Richard Merriam, California <br /> Certified Engineering Geologist # 850, <br /> Borehole Diameter: 10" <br /> Casing Diameter: 4" <br /> Drilling Equipment: <br /> Hollow Stem Auger with California Split Spoon sampler to be used <br /> with 2" dia. r:" long Brass sleeves. <br /> Decontamination: <br /> All equipment, sampling equipment, and all casing will be <br /> decontaminated with steam prior to entering the well. <br /> Decontamination will be done between each sample point and the <br /> drilling equipment will be decontaminated between each well. <br /> r: <br /> Borehole Samples: Q °(� <br /> One sample each 5 feet of hole starting at 5 feet. Sample tube <br /> will be filled completely caped with aluminum foil and a plastic <br /> cap, and placed in an ice chest. Samples will be delivered with <br /> a chain of custody form to the lab within 48 hours. Sampling <br /> will cease at or ;just prior to reaching the water table, Any <br /> ! + noted change of lithalogy will require a core sample. <br /> Well Completion: <br /> The well will be completed using 4" PVC blank and slotted casing. <br /> The slotted casing will have 0.02" slots at spacing of 1/8 of and <br /> inch. The slotted casing will extend 5 feet above the suspected <br /> water table. The remaining casing will be blank to the surface. <br /> ' A #3 clean sand pack will be placed opposite the slotted liner <br /> f= and extend 3 to 5 feet above the top of the slotted casing. <br /> Directly above the sand will be placed a 3 foot bentonite seal. <br /> Above the bentonite seal the well anulus will be sealed with <br /> neat concrete and a 5% mixture of bentonite. The cement will <br /> rise into the traffic box and seal the casing to the sides of the <br /> traffic box. If the anulus cement slumps overnight the slumped <br /> area will be filled with ready mix grout. The traffic box will <br /> be concreted into and raised slightly above the surrounding <br /> surface. The casing will be topped with a sealing look cap. <br /> i,.:, Well development: <br /> Each well will be developed by bailing at least 4 well volumes <br /> of water from the well or approximately 35 gallons. Bailer will <br /> be decontaminated prior to entry into the well with a non <br /> phosphate wash and rinse. Bailed water will be placed in a <br /> clean drum. Initial bailing will start by lowering the bailer <br /> into the standing water in the well in such a way that the <br /> bailer will capture the surface water standing in the well. <br />
