• Introduction <br /> This site has been operational since January 26, 1990 On November 14, 1989 three <br /> underground gasoline tanks were removed Soil samples of the dirt around the tank pit were <br /> found to be contaminated with gasoline <br /> The contaminated water was found to be flowing to the northeast The contaminated plume has <br /> moved to the northeast Wells have been drilled over the property and northeast and east of the <br /> property The most easterly well is BM-11 which is located on Aurora Street one block east of <br /> Grant Street One well BM-9 was placed east of the neighboring gas station Three bonngs were <br /> placed on the property and two hydropunch bonngs were placed on the Sun Gardens property to <br /> the west of this site <br /> SITE HISTORY <br /> On November 14, 1989 three tanks were removed at this site and three fiberglass tanks were <br /> installed The laboratory results taken at the time of removal tested positive for gasoline <br /> hydrocarbon contamination <br /> On December 19, 1989 an Electromagnetic Induction Survey was conducted on the site to aid the <br /> investigation of the aerial extent of the contaminated sod and in planning the position of the <br /> monitoring wells <br /> . In January 1990 three monitoring wells (BM-1, BM-2 and BM-3) were installed They were <br /> reported in our report dated February 9, 1990 <br /> i <br /> In March and April 1992, three more monitoring wells (BM-4, BM-5 and BM-6) were installed <br /> They were necessary because the groundwater had fallen below the depth of the original wells <br /> This work was reported in our report dated April 30, 1992 <br /> In July 1993 we installed two additional monitoring wells (BM-7 and BM-8) and dnlled one boring <br /> (B-1) This work was reported in our report dated August 24, 1993 <br /> In September 1994, we installed three additional monitoring wells (BM-9, BM-10 and BM-11) <br /> This work was reported in our report dated October 10, 1994 <br /> On June 19, 1995 we drilled two hydropunch borings (HP-1 and HP-2) they were reported in our <br /> Activity Report dated June 30, 1995 <br /> In February and March, 1996 five vapor extraction wells, one air sparging well and one boring <br /> were installed at this site This work was reported in our report dated March 19, 1996 <br /> In April 1996 we drilled two additional CPT borings (HP-3 and HP-5) They were reported in our <br /> report dated June 10, 1996 <br /> In July 1999, we drilled an additional monitoring well (BM-12) and a vapor bonng to 80 feet, which <br /> was completed for a vapor extraction well, (VW-7) They were reported in our report dated August <br /> 5, 1999 <br />
