SOO <br /> DEPTH TO GROUNDWATER: <br /> Based upon the most recent sampling event, (July1,) groundwater is about 32' <br /> bgl. That is the highest level measured since monitoring began in October, <br /> 1992. <br /> PRIOR USE OF PROPERTY: The site had been used as a mini-mart and <br /> gasoline station for many years. It was taken out of service sometime in 1991 <br /> REVIEW OF PRIOR WORK DONE: <br /> Decenler, 1991 -Two (2) 5,000 gallon and one (1) 2,000 gallon UST's were <br /> removed from the property, along with a 500 gallon waste oil tank, dispenser <br /> pumps and product lines. <br /> March, 1992 - Earth Systems Environmental placed seven (7) soil borings on <br /> the property in an attempt to determine the extent of contamination discovered <br /> during tank removal operations. Refer to their report dated May 6, 1992 for <br /> details of that work. <br /> Septsmber, 1992 -The above company placed three (2) 2" groundwater <br /> monitoring wells on the property. The total depth of each well was 65', with the <br /> top of the well screens at 45' bgl. Refer to their report dated November 6, 1992 <br /> for more complete details of that work. <br /> March, April, & May, 1993 -The site of the removed UST's, product lines, and <br /> pump island were overexcavated by Jim Thorpe Oil, Inc., under the direction of <br /> Wm. J. Hunter, RG. A total of 750 cubic yards of contaminated soil was <br /> removed from the property, and the excavations filled with clean material. <br /> Details of that work are covered in the Wm. J. Hunter&Associates report dated <br /> June 30, 1993. <br /> WORKPLAN FOR PLACING TWO 2" GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> WELLS: <br /> The approximate location of the two wells is shown on PLATE !1111. Prior to <br /> mobilizing drilling equipment, an encroachment and revocable permit will be <br /> obtained from the City of Stockton for MW-4, which is proposed to be located in <br /> the area between the sidewalk and Grant Street.
