Charter Way <br /> Stockton, CA <br /> ' Project No 724 2 <br /> May 2, 2006 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This Site Conceptual Model (SCM) has been developed in accordance with the San Joaquin <br /> County Public Health Services/Environmental Health Division's (SJC PHS/EHD) directives <br /> ' to reflect new data obtained from additional field investigation <br /> Underground storage tanks (USTs) containing gasoline were formerly located on the property <br /> ' — see Figures 1 & 2 Soil samples obtained from beneath the USTs in 1991 revealed the <br /> presence of gasoline in soils at the site In 1992, gasoline contamination was detected in <br /> groundwater at the site The SJC PHS/EHD subsequently directed that an .investigation of <br /> ' the petroleum hydrocarbon release be initiated <br /> The work performed to date is summarized below* <br /> ' • December 1991 —Two 5,000 gallon, one 2,000 gasoline and one 500 gallon waste oil <br /> USTs were removed <br /> ' e March 1992—Seven borings,TH-1 through TH-7, were installed under supervision of <br /> Earth System Environmental Inc (ESE) <br /> • September 1992- Three monitoring wells, MW-1, MW-2 and MW-3, were installed <br /> ' under supervision of ESE <br /> March & April 1993- Jim Thorpe Oil Co excavated gasoline impacted soils around <br /> former dispenser island and USTs to a depth of 20 — 28 feet under the supervision of <br /> ' Wm J Hunter & Associates Approximately 800 cubic yards of soil transported off <br /> site to Forward Landfill for disposal <br />
