i
BARGHAUSEN CONSULTINGENGINEERS, INC.
"Land Planning, Survey, and Design Specialists"
October 5, 1987
FEDERAL EXPRESS c ,
Mr. Dan Moelit,
San Joaquin County Health Department
Hazardous Materials Division ENVIRON;NTAL HEALTH
1601 East Hazelton Avenue FERMIT/SERVICES
Stockton, CA 95201
Re: Final Plan Review Response for the Installation of Underground Storage Tanks
for the Proposed ARCO AM/PM Mini-Market Facility Located at the Northeast
Corner of Wilson Way and Washington Street, Stockton, California
ARCO FAC No. 5469/Our Job No. 2205
Dear Mr. Moe:
This letter will serve to respond to your plan review of September 24, 1987
(copy attached) in regard to the above subject facility.
As you have observed, there are some options left open to the contractor for
field fabrication and installation of tanks and piping. These plans are deliberately
flexible to allow the installer to choose the best competitive method for this construction
at the time of installation. Based on how recent installations have been completed in
your area, we would respond to your plan review as follows:
1. The inspection monitoring wells will be monitoring groundwater and other
liquids for this specific site.
2. Please note that a "dual' overfill protection system will be used and that
all product piping will have dual containment. A ball float will be
installed in relation to the ventilation system.
3. Attached to this letter is a partial copy of Sheet C-1, which indicates the
proposed location of product and venting lines. Please note that this is a
schematic only, and modifications may be required as the site develops to
adapt to specific or unknown construction requirements. Any change
from this schematic will be coordinated with your office prior to field
installation.
Home Office: 18215 72nd Avenue South * Kent, Washington 98032 • (206) 251-6222
Sacramento Office: 3134-A Auburn Blvd., 0 Sacramento, California 95821 9 (916) 484-1212
