Soil Gas Investigation Work Plan <br /> VANCO TRUCK& AUTO PLAZA <br /> 1033 West Charter Way,Stockton,California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr.David Atwater of Van De Pol Enterprises Inc.,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, <br /> Inc (AGE) has prepared this Soil Gas Investigation Work Plan for the site located at 1033 West <br /> Charter Way, Stockton, California. This work plan was prepared in accordance with San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) -mail correspondence, dated 09 February <br /> 2009. <br /> The Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) is now requiring <br /> evaluation of Environmental Screening Levels, California Human Health Screening Levels <br /> (CHHSLs)and evaluation for potential vapor intrusion into buildings prior to closure consideration. <br /> As a result,this work plan is prepared in accordance with CVRWQCB guidelines for investigations <br /> of underground storage tank(UST)sites and in accordan a with Guidance For The Evaluation And <br /> Mitigation Of Subsurface Vapor Intrusion To Indoor Ai (15 December 2004,revised 07 February <br /> 2005)established by the California Environmental Protection Agency(Cal EPA) -Department of <br /> Toxic Substances Control(DTSC) for the intrusion of subsurface vapors into buildings. <br /> Background information, including details of previous site assessment work, is presented in <br /> Appendix A. <br /> 2.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Due to shallow petroleum-impacted soil documented a the site during a fuel-dispensing system <br /> upgrade(February 2003),the SJCEHD has directed by e-mail correspondence(09 February 2009), <br /> that the threat of potential vapor intrusion into buildings on the site should be investigated. <br /> Therefore, AGE is proposing to drill and sample tw soil vapor probe burin at the site to <br /> characterize soil vapor intrusion. <br /> The scope of work for this investigation will consist of the following tasks: <br /> • Permitting and pre-field work preparations; <br /> • Geoprobe advancement and soil vapor sample collection; <br /> • Soil vapor sample analysis; <br /> • Review and analysis of soil vapor data and <br /> • Report preparation. <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
