Duff, P.E., Fund Manager Claim No. 18342 <br /> Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund <br /> Division of Financial Assistance ��J <br /> State Water Resources Control Board <br /> Sacramento, CA 94244-2120 <br /> Subject: Request for a Fund Manager Decision EN VIRONPO NT HEALTH <br /> VAN DE POL ENTERPRISES LRyiCES <br /> 1033 West Charter Way, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr. Duff: <br /> At the request of Mr.David Atwater of Van De Pol Enterprises,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br /> (AGE) is requesting a Fund Manager's Decision for the State Water Resources Control Board <br /> (SWRCB) Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund (USTCF) suspension of the Letter of <br /> Commitment (LOC) for the site located at 1033 West Charter Way, Stockton, California (Site). <br /> The Claimant Has Been Damaged by the LOC Suspension <br /> • The site has been undergoing assessment for a release ofpetroleum hydrocarbons since 2003. <br /> Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in soil samples collected during routine fuel system <br /> upgrades.Additional lateral andvertical assessment is also being requiredbythe San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department at the site. Additional assessment presently <br /> required includes the performance of soil vapor survey,vapor migration study and quarterly_ <br /> ground water monitoring and sampling. Costs for the work will be approximately$50,000 <br /> over the next 6 to 12 months. <br /> • Van De Pol Enterprises, like most businesses associated with the petroleum industry, has <br /> seen a dramatic decrease of revenues over the past 12 months. Revenues are expected to <br /> continue to decrease over the next 12 months. <br /> • Van De Pol Enterprises has limited resources to budget for continued assessment and <br /> I. <br /> monitoring of the site.
