Access to the steel cone roof was not available at the time of <br /> structure measurement of inspection. No vertical ladder or stairway is present. Visual <br /> access structure inspection did not identify any areas of concern. <br /> components <br /> 5. Coatings .VT of Coatings a. The tank was visually inspected for any coating failure. The <br /> tank shell, and appurtenance coatings are generally worn,with <br /> isolated areas of coating failure. Monitor the condition of the <br /> coatings and applytouch up coating as needed to help prevent <br /> corrosion damage to the shell, and appurtenances. <br /> b. Several shell appurtenances are not coated. No indication of <br /> corrosion was evident on these appurtenances. <br /> 6. Venting .VT of existing a. No access to roofwas possible during the inspection therefore <br /> venting system venting inspection was not possible. A 1-in open goose-neck <br /> .Calculate vent is present on the cone roof. Consider cleaning the vent to <br /> Venting ensure proper operation. <br /> Requirements b.It is possible that this tank is under-vented.To prevent possible <br /> tank damage, consider installing an open vent equal to the <br /> diameter of the largest in use nozzle. <br /> 7. Grounding .VT grounding a. No grounding cable wires are present. <br /> stem <br /> 8. Signage and .VT to document a. The tank has two different NFPA diamond placards. The <br /> Placards Fire Department placards areworn and give conflicting information. Install a new <br /> Signage placard as per NFPA 704. <br /> b. No nameplate is present on the tank shell. The tank gauging system is sufficient for this tank. <br /> 10. Piping .VT of piping a. Visual inspection of the piping and components was <br /> system performed.
