INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Dante John Nomellini of Nomellini Construction Co -(NCC), Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this Interim Work Plan to drill and install one vapor <br /> extraction/ground water extraction well at 1045 West Charter Way in Stockton, California <br /> Additionally, two vapor extraction observation wells will be installed at the site <br /> The proposed work is being performed in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality J <br /> Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for investigation of-underground storage tank (UST) sites <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> 21 SITE LOCATION <br /> The site is located approximately one-half mile west of Interstate 5 on West Charter Way (State <br /> Route 4) in Stockton, California (Figure 1) Surrounding land use is light industrial/commercial .A <br /> truck stop is located immediately east of the site,the property immediately west of the site is operated <br /> by Sunrise Sanitation A plan of the site is depicted in Figure 2 <br /> 2 2' UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL J <br /> In August 1988, two 1,000-gallon underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed from the site <br /> The tanks were used for the storage of regular' and unleaded gasoline Analytical results of soil <br /> samples collected from beneath the gasoline,USTs r indicated that an unauthorized release of <br /> hydrocarbons had occurred <br /> 2 3 SITE ASSES'S'MENT, <br /> A total'of ten=soil borings and nine monitoring wells were installed at the site between May 1989 and <br /> December 1994 Nine soil borings (13-1 through B-9) were drilled and sampled in May 1989 by <br /> Kleinfelder Hydrocarbons were detected in soil samples from sevenofthe nine borings In February , <br /> 1991, Meinfelder drilled and installed monitoring wells MWA through MW-3 at the site Total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH-g) were detected in each well during the initial sampling In rune <br />• 1991, 1 5 feet of free product was measured in MW-1 <br /> s <br />
