A. Reg received call from answering service and <br /> is cross connected with Greg Basso at Forward Inc. truck yard in Stockton, CA.. Greg states that <br /> there was a 2000 gallon diesel fuel spill at the site. Fuel is on dirt and has migrated from source <br /> to low spots in the back part of the facility. Facility is located at 1145 West Charter Way, on north <br /> side of street between Vanco Truck Stop and J&M Equipment. A. Reg begins to make the <br /> necessary phone calls to mobilize a clean up crew and the necessary equipment. <br /> 8:00P Call made to D. Heath to advise. <br /> 8:05P S. Hancock is dispatched to the Dillard Byron yard to oversee the mobilization of the <br /> equipment, supplies, and crew. <br /> 8:30P D. Heath arrive at site and advises Greg Basso and Butch Stefani with Forward that crew <br /> and equipment are being mobilized. Harlin Knoll with San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services is also on site. <br /> 8:40P D. Heath holds a tail gate safety meeting with Forward personnel. <br /> 8:45P A. Reg arrives at site and is briefed by D. Heath and both walk the spill area to assess the <br /> magnitude of the spill and plan a scope of work for the immediate clean up. <br /> 9:OOP Talk to S. Hancock at the Dillard Byron yard to coordinate the equipment and supplies <br /> that will be sent to the site. <br /> 9:30P Equipment transport arrived at site with backhoe. Truck# 87 Trailer# 320 Equip.# B1 <br /> Unload equipment and stand-by. <br /> 10:15P Emergency Response Van and pickup with crew arrives at site and begins to stage <br /> equipment and supplies. <br /> 10:30P Truck# 589 and Vacuum Trailer# V7L1 arrive on site. <br /> 10:35P S. Hancock arrive at site. <br /> 10:35P Tail gate safety meeting with all Dillard personnel on site at this time. <br /> D. Heath project manager R. Copeland driver/technician tk# 60 <br /> S. Hancock site supervisor R. Elliott driver/technician tk# 87 tl# 320 <br /> J. Drake field supervisor J. Russo driver/technician tk# 589 tl#VTL1 <br /> A. Reg equip. operator S. Deanda technician <br /> 10:40P Don the necessary P.P.E. and position the equipment and crew to begin recovery of <br /> free standing product in the spill area. <br /> 11:40P 2 loads of sand arrived and are dumped in areas adjacent to the spill area. The sand <br /> trucks (C & D Trucking) are instructed to bring back 2 more loads. Equipment operator and <br /> technician begin to sanding down areas of spill with no free standing liquids. <br /> 12:01A 05/07/95 Clean up continues <br /> 1:30A Completed recovery of all free standing liquids in spill area and tank secondary <br /> containment area. Estimate of amount of product recovered is 1800 gallons. <br /> 1:35A 2 more loads of sand arrive at site. Sand is dumped in areas adjacent to the spill area. <br /> Sand trucks are released for the night. Approximately 75 yards of sand have been imported. <br /> 2:30A Crew continues to spread sand over spill area. <br /> 3:OOA Crew completes clean up and demobilizes. Crew and equipment* leave site for Dillard <br /> yard in Byron to stow equipment and restock supplies. <br /> 3:OOA* Equipment left on-site # B1 backhoe <br /> #VTL1 120 barrel vacuum trailer <br /> Approximately 15 yards of sand was not used and left stockpiled on site. <br />
