' • KLEINFELDER
1. INTRODUCTION
This is an excavation work plan developed for the soil remediation at the Independent Trucking
Company facility in Stockton. A fuel release occurred while fueling one of two 10,000 gallon
aboveground fuel storage tanks. Some diesel contaminated soil has already been excavated and
removed from the site. Based on the results of a soil boring investigation, Independent Trucking
Company intends to excavated additional soil in order to obtain regulatory site closure from the
California Regional Water Quality Control Board(CRWQCB).
Regulatory closure of the site will require remediation of the diesel impacted soil associated with
the fuel release. Kleinfelder will work with an excavation contractor to remove the diesel
impacted soil. Confirmation soil samples will be collected and analyzed to assess the removal of
the impacted soil prior to backfilling the excavation. The excavated soil will be transported to
LForward Landfill in Stockton for appropriate disposal.
23-482276-B00/CR96S070 Page I of 8 June 26, 1996
Copyright 1996 Kleinfelder,Inc.
