level & amount of free product, if any, will be measured by use
of a electrical multiphase interface probe device After
determining the effective depth, each well will be purged by
evacuating a minimums of three ( 3) casing volumes of fluid from
the well. Purging may be accomplished by either (1 ) bailing by
use of a disposal teflon or reuseable stainless steel bailer; (2)
pumping by use of a downhole impeller or bladder pump, or ( 3) a
surface peristatic pump. All equipment will be thoroughly
decontaminated with Alconox & clean water, with a final rinse
with deionzzed or distilled water prior to use
15. During purging operations, the water will be continually
monitored to determine temperature, pH, & electrical conduct-
ivity. After the reading indicate that well conditions have
stabilized, water samples will be collected by use of a clean
teflon bailer run on new nylon cord. They will be placed in
clean glass vials & sealed with teflon lined lids making sure
there is no headspace. The samples will be promptly preserved on
ice & transported to a State Certified laboratory under proper
chain of custody. Samples are to be analyzed for BTEX (EPA 602, )
TPH-G (EPA 5O3O/8O15M, ) and TRPH, (EPA 351O/8O15M ) Persone.l from
the responsible regulatory agency will be contacted prior to
start of purging & sampling operations
16. The wellhead elevation & surface coordinates will be
determined by a licensed surveyor after well has been completed
After completion of the above work, receipt & analysis of all
field notes & laboratory reports , a report will be prepared and
submitted to the responsible agencies _
If you have ny questions concerning this proposed workplan,
plea, ef on t our office at your earliest convenience.
W
Wm J_ anter & Associates
cc- da Turkatte, San Joaquin Co EHD
W Milds
W Nolet
J.
