JM Equipment page 2
1245 W. Charter Way May 12, 2009
Stockton, CA 95206
The EHD also reviewed the First Quarter 2009 quarterly monitoring report dated
March 27, 2009. Recommendations included in the report requested that the
unimpacted monitoring wells MW-1, 2, 3, 7, 10, and 109 have their sampling
frequency reduced to once every two years, during the fourth quarter, starting
2010 and the usually impacted contaminated wells MW-4, 5, 6, 8, and 9 have
their sampling frequency reduced to twice a year, during the second and fourth
quarters, starting second quarter 2009. All the monitoring wells are to be
sampled for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene (BTEX), total petroleum
hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), and methyl-tert butyl ether (MtBE). The
recommendations are adequate and approved.
Please be aware that the California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Section 2652
requires owners of contaminated underground storage tank sites to report
quarterly on the status of their site to the lead regulatory agency overseeing the
investigation. The report must include an update on specific information and
results of all corrective action (investigation) which has occurred during the
period. An item that must be discussed in each quarterly report is future
investigative actions and a time schedule for implementing the actions. This
letter type quarterly report is due on Geotracker every quarter that the semi
annual and biennial reports are not submitted. You may prepare this report
yourself unless geologic or engineering interpretations are included which would
require that it be prepared by an appropriately registered professional.
If you have any questions, you may contact Michael Infurna, at (209) 468-3454.
Michael J.
