E uipment Company, 1245 West Charter Way, Stockton, CA <br /> County Site Code 9401; USTCFP Claim#TBD <br /> Dear Mr. Marquez: <br /> In written requests dated November 1, 1996, Mr. Joel Weiss, Engineering Geologist for <br /> California Regional Wat r Quality Control Board - Central Valley Region (CRWQCB-CVR) <br /> requested that a work plul to delineate the lateral and vertical extent of soil and groundwater <br /> contaminated on the J. M Equipment property in Stockton, California. <br /> On behalf of Geo. Corp. the responsible party on this manner, Geological Technics Inc. (GTI) <br /> are addressing this requeE t and are working with both the CRWQCB and San Joaquin County. <br /> Summary of Current C rrective Action Work <br /> 1. April 1996, Indepen ent Trucking, the facility adjoining the subject property to the east, <br /> installed a monitorin well on Geo. Corp. property (operated by J.M. Equipment). This well <br /> discovered very high evels of gasoline contamination in the groundwater. <br /> 2. November 1, 1996, . Joel Weiss, Engineering Geologist for CRWQCB-CVR requested a <br /> work plan be submit ed to delineate the lateral and vertical extent of soil and groundwater <br /> contaminated by gas ine. <br /> 3. January 17, 1997 G submitted a work plan it to the CRWQCB-CVR and to San Joaquin <br /> County. <br /> 4. February 6, 1997,thi site was transferred to a new LOP with Site Code No.: 9401. <br /> 5. February 10, 1997, L nda Turkatte of SJCPHSEHD reviewed GTI's work plan and requested <br /> additional work be performed to more thoroughly characterize the site. <br /> 6. March 1997, GTI pei sonnel met with Geo. Corp. personnel to evaluate the county's request <br /> and plan for the addi onal work. <br /> 7. April 4, 1997, GTI s mitted an addendum to the work plan. <br /> 8. April 9, 1997, Ms. Tikatte approved the work plan addendum. <br /> 9. April 1997, Geo. Com. personnel requested an application to the USTCFP and GTI obtained <br /> bids to perform the w)rk approved by the County. <br /> Copies of the work plan uid addendum to the Work Plan, SCDER correspondence, groundwater <br /> monitoring reports, drilli ig bids and an itemized budget spread sheet of costs for performing this <br /> work are enclosed for yo it review. <br />
