C, 06gtcal rechntcs W,
1101 7"Street
' Modesto,California 95354
(209)522-4119/Fax(209)522-4227
REPORT
Groundwater Monitoring
2"d Quarter 2002
' J.M. Equipment Company
1245 West Charter Way
Stockton, California
' Project No 507 2
October 15, 2002
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This report summarizes the results of the 2°a Quarter 2002 groundwater monitoring and
i sampling event that took place on June 20, 2002 For this event, the average groundwater
elevation at the site was -10 11 feet mean sea level (msl) and the groundwater flow was
N84°E at 0 002 ft/ft Vertical groundwater gradient calculations between MW-9 & 109
' show that groundwater is flowing downward at a slope of 0 0039 ft/ft
,rrts
The analytical results of groundwater samples show that detectable concentrations of
gasoline range hydrocarbons were present in five of the site's eleven groundwater
monitoring wells The magnitude of the contamination in the wells is consistent with
historical site data The fuel oxygenate compound MTBE was detected in four of the wells
1
Deep screened well MW-109 was non-detect for all analytes for the first time since it's
' installation in May 2001 This suggests that the contamination previously detected was a -
drilling artifact or the bottom of the groundwater plume Additional monitoring will
confirm this hypothesis
The Oxidation-Reduction Potential measurements show that all eleven of the monitoring
wells are within the halo of reaction-depleted water caused by biodegradation of the
' contamination plume
