0 'caC7ec�iZus Inc Page 5 <br /> Soil&Groundwater lnvestigation Report <br />' J M Equipment <br /> Project No 507 2 <br /> June 9, 1999 <br /> etection BTEX T_ EtIfers - aso ine <br /> ater µg <br /> 30 RESULTS OF INVESTIGATION <br />' The analytical results and field observations are discussed below Summary analytical data is <br /> included in Appendix A, boring logs are included in Appendix B A site map with soil <br /> boring and monitoring well locations is included as Figure 2 <br />' 3.1 Analytical Results <br /> 3.1.1 Soil Sample Analysis <br />' In summary <br /> • Elevated concentrations of BTEX and TPH-Gas were detected in the soil samples <br /> collected from SB-3, SB-4, SB-109, MW-4 and MW-5 <br />' • Low concentrations were detected in the soil samples from SB-2 <br /> • No contamination was detected in the soil samples from SB-1, SB-5 and MW-6 <br /> However SB-1 and SB-5 were not drilled into the groundwater and in several of the other <br /> boreholes, contamination was not detected until 20 or 30 feet bgs <br /> The geology as it relates to the analytical data is discussed in the conclusion section below <br /> Table 1 in Appendix A contains a full summary of the analytical data and the laboratory data <br /> sheets are included in Appendix C <br /> 3.1.2 Groundwater Sample Analysis <br /> After development of new monitoring wells, a groundwater monitoring was conducted on <br /> April 16, 1999 and samples were submitted for analysis of TPH-G, BTEX and the <br /> oxygenated fuel compounds The results of the groundwater analysis are included as Table 2 <br /> in Appendix A The analytical data reports are included in Appendix C <br /> In surntnary <br /> • Elevated concentrations of BTEX and TPH-G were present in MW-4, MW-5 and MW-9 <br /> - • Moderate concentrations of BTEX and TPI -G were present in the groundwater collected <br /> from MW-6 and MW-8 <br /> • Moderate concentrations of the oxygenated fuel compound MTBE were detected in the <br /> groundwater samples from MW-4, MW-5 and MW-9 <br /> • The groundwater samples collected from MW-1 and MW-2 were non-detect for all <br /> analytes <br /> 3.2 Site Hydrology <br /> On May 28, 1999 the top of casings were surveyed into a common elevation by GTI <br /> personnel The top of casing elevation from MW-9 (5 68') was used as the benchmark <br /> elevation to survey the three new wells into This elevation was reported in the September <br /> 14, 1998, Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report submitted by Wm J Hunter and <br /> Associates for Independent Trucking <br />
