COMPLAINANT BOUGHT <br /> CHICKEN AND IT WAS SPOILED. COMPLAINANT HAD MANY ACQUAINTANCES THAT BOUGHT MEATS AT THE <br /> STORE AND THEY WERE ALL SPOILED. COMPLAINANT BELIEVES THE REFRIGERATION MIGHT BE INCORRECT <br /> AND IT ISN'T COLD ENOUGH. <br /> VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; <br /> 113700.All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and have the potential to cause foodborne illness.All major violations must be corrected immediately.Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br /> the food facility. <br /> #13 Food Contamination and Adulteration Major <br /> OBSERVATIONS:A package of Randell Farms chicken wings with an expiration date of 08/31/2016 looked discolored <br /> (grey)and had a spoiled smell. Another package with an expiration date of 09/04/2016 did not look or smell spoiled. <br /> Discard all spoiled meats today. <br /> Employee states chicken is received refrigerated from a third party company, Nash. Facility currently does not temp <br /> shipments of potentially hazardous foods when they arrive. Start temping shipments once they arrive to ensure they are <br /> stored at the correct temperature. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Any food is adulterated if it bears or contains any poisonous or deleterious substance that may render it <br /> impure or injurious to health.
