Metal fines generated from the sanding room are being disposed of without first determining particle <br />size or hazardous properties. Silkscreen cleaning wipes are being disposed of without making a <br />hazardous waste determination. The paint powder and paint contaminated absorbent is being handled <br />as non -hazardous; the paint contaminated air filters have previously been handled as hazardous and are <br />currently being stored on site for possible disposal as a non -hazardous waste. Any person who <br />generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately stop disposal of <br />silkscreen waste, paint filters and wastes, and metal fines, make a hazardous waste determination for <br />these wastes, and manage them according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Metal particles 100 <br />microns or smaller must be handled as hazardous waste if the metal is determined to be a hazardous <br />waste. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how these wastes were managed <br />by October 14, 2011. REPEAT VIOLATION <br />116. The hazardous waste training at this facility was last conducted on April 10, 2009. The training <br />program shall be completed by each employee within six months of hire, prior to unsupervised work, and <br />shall be reviewed annually. Immediately provide hazardous waste training to all employees as needed, <br />and ensure that the training is provided annually in the future. Submit current proof of training to the EHD <br />by October 14, 2011. REPEAT VIOLATION <br />ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br />THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE <br />
