The senior manager/supervisor will assume command of any emergency situation until the <br />designated Commander can be contacted and assume duty. Upon the arrival of said Commander, <br />the temporary shall relinquish their command to him/her. Upon arrival of any emergency <br />crew (fire, police, county offices, etc.) they will then take over responsibility. <br />a) Determine the exact location extent and nature of the emergency. <br />b} Decide if additional areas or the entire plant should be evacuated. <br />c) Decide what emergency public service equipment is required for the emergency, <br />and request it. <br />d) Direct emergency equipment to the closest location of the problem area. <br />e) Order ambulances and alert hospital if required. <br />f ) Delegate a supervisor to complete telephone alerting system of key personnel. <br />g) Maintain communications with Safety Officer and ER Team if rescue or other <br />emergency situation is being handled by them. <br />h) Determine whether employees should return to work or be released for the <br />remainder of the shift. <br />i } Initiate "All Clear" procedures. If a full plant evacuation was implemented, the <br />"AIF Clear" notification will be given verbally to all Team Leads, and through <br />them to all employees. Evacuation warning devices will promptly be deactivated <br />upon "All Clear." <br />returnedTeam Leads will then initiate all actions necessary to restore their work areas to a normal <br />condition. The ERT will make a "walk through" after any actual or practice evacuation to check <br />that all areas are to normal. <br />Logistics is responsible for the procurement, maintenance, and transportation of materials, and <br />facilities during any emergency. Also: <br />a) provide assistance to the Commander. <br />b) Determine accurate head count and compile a list of unaccounted for personnel. <br />c } Stop all vehicle traffic and clear the entrances for responding emergency. <br />NO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC IS ALLOWED TO MOVE WITHIN THE PLANT <br />AREA UNLESS INVOLVED IN THE EMERGENCY. <br />d) Act as coordinator between Safety Officer, ER team and Commander. <br />e) Insure that all orders, rules and regulations are obeyed and assist in averting <br />panic. Compile a list and/or report to the Commander, any and all persons <br />violating the rules. <br />2. <br />
