W. F. LEWIS CONSTRUCTION, INC.
RE: 595 ARCO ALARM
May 18, 1989
Page 2
RECOMMENDATIONS:
To make this system exempt from yearly testing and to complete
the installation the annular space alarm should be reinstalled.
What we are suggesting is a ILS250 Leak Sensor alarm which
monitors both water and hydrocarbon emissions. In this appli-
cation the water will be left in the annular space of the tanks
so that any water loss will cause the alarm light to go out.
This will detect either a leak in the primary (water going into
the tank) or a leak in the outer wall (water going out of the
annular space) . In addition any hydrocarbon release will be
detected when fuel or vapors come in contact with the sensors.
ENCLOSURES & ADDENDUMS:
. 1984 Installation
Copy San Joaquin Health Permit
Copy San Joaquin Building Permit
Copy San Joaquin APCD Permit
Copy Fire Department Inspection Card
Copy Environmental Health Inspection Card
. Alarm Installation
. Copy of Detail of Installation
. Copy of Veeder Root UL Letter
Copy of UL Listing Letter
Copy ILS 250 spec sheet
This completes the submittal to qualify these tanks as a double
wall system.
