Response: BP West Coast Products LLC will immediately follow the required <br />notification and approval process before replacing any drop tubes at Arco gasoline <br />stations within San Joaquin County. <br />3. Alleged Violation: The UST Program Inspection Report stated, "CCR 2630 (d) - <br />Continuous monitoring system for UST system. While conducting a wire out test it was <br />discovered that a wire (a random) in the panel was pulled both turbines did not shut <br />down. In order to meet positive shutdown requirements, all turbines are to be shut down, <br />if any inside wire is not connected (functional). During this inspection this was not the <br />case, however the problem was corrected on site when the panel was re -programmed. <br />Response: It is unclear what wire was pulled during the inspection, however, the report <br />indicates that this issue was resolved on site. <br />I have also enclosed the Monitoring System Certification, which includes the annual spill <br />bucket test data sheet, and the electronic leak detector test data sheet With the transmittal <br />of this letter, it is our understanding that the above-mentioned alleged violations <br />associated with this routine inspection conducted on October 16, 2003 have been <br />resolved. If this is not correct, please contact me as soon as possible.
